Orders can be taken if we do not have the specific bird available that you are looking for. We have assembled a very knowledgeable and customer service oriented staff. Each of them are bird owners as well. It is very important to us that each customer has an idea of what they are looking for in a bird, so that we can match the right bird to their new owner. Please click on our Pet Birds Available page and see just a few of the babies that we have in the store. Remember that they grow very quickly, so they won't look like little babies for very long. Easy and Simple Tricks of Training a Macaw at Home

All parrots especially African Congo Greys and Macaws are great parrots and training a Macaw in the right manner proves to be highly desirable and entertaining. It can get really frustrating at times to train these birds but one can always make this possible by adopting a Macaw at a very young age so that the bird is able to learn the ways and rules of the house. Both parrots unmistakably have the ability to learn "tricks." Although the grey is far superior in the sense of intellect, I believe the macaw is easier to train. The lower attention span of the macaw invites the trainer to short 15-minute sessions. When training my macaw, Gracie, sessions were short and enjoyable. The Grey's sessions used to be (my brother took my grey Bubba when he moved out) around 30 minutes, even up to 45! Sure the African Grey learns quicker, but a busy fella like me would rather spend his precious time devoted to his parrot playing with the bird, not extensive training.

Training Macaw to Talk

Macaws may not be highly fluent but their talking ability is not bad. All they need is training and in no time they will be mimicking. Macaws have an excellent memory and can retain a number of words in their mind. Though they lack the ability to speak fluently, if someone works hard on their speech then it is always possible that Macaws would reply to certain questions asked and would also repeat things when in the mood to.
